The Deltaville Deltas completed a season sweep of the York Cannons this past weekend, posting an 8-5 victory on Saturday, and a 13-5 win on Sunday. With the wins, the Deltas maintained their second-place standing, improving to 9-2 on the season.
This Saturday is Heritage Day in Deltaville, and is filled with action at Deltaville Ballpark. At 5 p.m., the Deltas will face off against league rival Peninsula Pirates (9-3). Following the Deltas game, the Worth Batting Tour will put on a slow-pitch softball hitting show, hitting softballs farther than 400 feet, and as high as the stadium lights. Finally, the Deltaville Deltas Old Timers will face their counterparts from long-time rival Tappahannock Tides.
On Sunday, the Deltas travel to Williamsburg to face the Pirates in a 4 p.m. game at Jamestown High School.
