The Deltaville Deltas rode strong pitching from Cole Stamm last Thursday night, holding off the Richmond River Dogs for a 6-4 road victory.
Saturday night’s home matchup against the Amelia Athletics was rained out and will not be rescheduled. The Deltas improved to 11-4-1 overall on the season, and continue to sit one game back of the second-place Richmond El Heaters and two games behind the league-leading Tappahannock Tides.
This Saturday night, the Deltas will conclude the regular season schedule with a home game against the Richmond Dirt Devils. First pitch at Deltaville Ballpark is set for 7:30 p.m.
On Thursday in Richmond, Stamm took the mound and scattered three hits over six innings. The River Dogs managed a solo home run in the first inning, but it would be the only run Stamm would allow.
