The Deltaville Deltas cruised in their only game last week, routing the Chester Camels, 16-1. The win advanced the Deltas to 12-2 in league play, and clinched the top seed in the Eastern Division of the Richmond NABA with two games to go.
The Deltas hold a three-game lead on the Tappahannock Tides, who clinched the division’s #2 seed with a record of 9-5 two games remaining as well. Five games back of the frontrunners, the Richmond Avalanche (4-11) and Richmond Dirt Devils (3-9) will fight it out this week for the third and final playoff seed for the division, with just a half game separating the two teams.
The Deltas played away in Richmond on Tuesday night against the Richmond Misfits, and host their final regular season game this Saturday night against two-time league champion and current western division leader Richmond Heaters.
