Deltas begin playoffs Saturday after closing with 6-1 win

The Deltas closed out their regular season with a 6-1 win over the Richmond Dirt Devils Saturday night at Deltaville Ballpark, finishing their summer slate on a three-game win streak heading into the Richmond NABA playoffs.
The playoff format pits the top eight teams against each other in a single-elimination bracket—lose, and you’re out. After two rounds played over the next seven days, the final two teams will square off in a best-of-three championship the weekend of Aug. 9-11.
Deltaville’s ranking in the bracket is not finalized as of yet, but what is certain is that they will be the higher seed for the first round, and get to host their opening round opponent. That game will kick off this Saturday night at 7:30 at Deltaville Ballpark. The Deltas, with an 11-3-1 record in league play, are a lock for at least the #3 seed.
