Delicious foods will greet visitors at Sherwood on Dec. 13

For the 27th year mark your calendar; on Dec. 13 Ware River Circle, King’s Daughters and Sons, will host their annual open house, this year at Sherwood Plantation in Gloucester.
Rear Admiral (ret.) Tim Giardina and his wife Missy are sharing their historic home for this benefit for the circle, which annually supports the Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters and Ronald McDonald House in Norfolk. This group netted $15,000 in 2015 and is hoping to top that total this year.
Sherwood, decorated for Christmas, will be open for tours, and the visitors will be greeted with a spread of delicious foods. These will include ham biscuits, salmon, Boursin cheese, petite sandwiches, chicken salad, fruit, chocolate truffles, and assorted cookies. Making it all a little tastier will be champagne and fruit punch.
