Gwen DeForge has joined the Mathews Land Conservancy as Operations Manager at Williams Wharf Landing.
Raised in Mathews County, DeForge shares the ideals of the Mathews Land Conservancy’s mission to preserve and protect waterway access for public use, benefit and education.
“Gwen is an excellent addition to our team bringing a wealth of experience and a complementary set of skills essential to advancing our work for the citizens of Mathews County,” noted MLC president Craig DeRemer.
“I grew up on Queens Creek and spent my childhood crabbing, fishing and boating,” DeForge said. “My fondest memories have been made on the local waters of the lower Chesapeake Bay. I believe that everyone should have the same opportunities to enjoy these wonderful resources.”
