Decked out for the season

Following a long tradition of plantings, decorating and beautifying the Court House area, members of the Garden Club of Gloucester and Mathews were out in force on Dec. 1 for two reasons: first, to make wreaths and garlands to decorate the Gloucester County Museum in the historic Botetourt Building on Main Street, and second, to create wreaths for the doors of each and every resident at Sanders Assisted Living as well as wreaths for the front doors. The Garden Club team also made wreaths that are hanging on the doors of historic buildings in Mathews Court House. “We delight in bringing joy to the residents of Sanders and to our communities during the holiday season,” said Cynthia Geisert, chair of the club’s Beautification Committee.
