DEBRA ‘DEBBIE’ T. KELLUM

Debra “Debbie” T. Kellum, 67, went home to be with her Lord on November 30, 2024. Debbie worked for a number of years at BASF Incorporated before deciding to be a stay-at-home mom.

Debbie was born in Columbus, Georgia, on September 7, 1957. As a child, Debbie lived in multiple places due to her father’s service in the U.S. Army, and eventually settled down in Newport News, Virginia, where she resided until her passing.

Debbie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and Nana. She had a passion for crafting, drawing, making jewelry, and so much more. Her most enjoyable passion was spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies. She spent many years wholeheartedly as a caregiver to multiple family members. Debbie always had a humble and giving soul, putting others before herself. Her hugs were infectious and would make you feel like you never wanted to let go.

Debbie was preceded in death by her son, Jason; parents, Betty and James Jones; sisters, Rhonda Marx, Darlene Beale; brother-in-law, Jeff Marx; and nephew, Chris Marx. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, James “Jimmy” Kellum Jr.; her wonderful daughters, Crystal K. (Chucky) Arthur and Amanda Chapman; grandsons, Konnor Chapman and Clyde Arthur; granddaughter, Karlee Chapman; brothers, James D. Jones and Robert (Nancy) Titus; sisters-in-law, Yvonne Kellum (Mike) Wheless, Denise Jones, and Sharene Jones. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, including her nephew, Scotty Beale, whom she shared a special bond with.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
