Deborah “Debbie” Gail Ford died at her home in Gloucester peacefully on Saturday, March 4, 2023. A lifetime resident of Gloucester, Debbie never knew a stranger and had the love and forgiveness seldom seen in our world. The family was most important to her, especially her children and grandchildren. Sleepovers at Grandma’s house were full of fun and good times for all. She was truly selfless, often helping her many friends regardless of her own needs. We will all remember her as a kind and generous soul, greatly missed but never forgotten. Parents, Joseph Ford and Mildred Robins Ford Ingram, preceded her in death. Survivors include her children, Sara Gail Pugh (Aaron) and Joseph Daniel Hudgins (Mary); stepdaughter, Rachel Howton; five grandchildren, Joshua, Aaron, Dylan, Brice, Paisley; siblings, Jody Ford, Jamie Ford, and Christy Walker, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Gloucester Mathews Care Clinic, P.O. Box 684, Gloucester, Va. 23061.
