Today, Thursday, April 11, is the deadline to sign up for Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism’s first Beaverdam Triathlon, which will be held on Saturday, May 11, beginning at 7 a.m.
For ages 16 and older, the race consists of a 2.5-mile run, a 6.1-mile bike and a 1.9-mile paddle. Mountain bikes and recreational canoes and kayaks only; no street bikes or racing watercraft. The fee is $50.
Also, at Beaverdam Park, Gloucester PRT will be holding Free Flow Yoga on Tuesdays in May from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. at the Whitcomb Lodge. The fee is $40 for the whole month; $9 per day, and the deadline is April 30.
