A memorial service for David S. Traylor, 85, of Gloucester Point, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, at his home. He died Oct. 26, 2014.
Mr. Traylor was born July 18, 1929 in Bradshaw, Texas, to the late Homer and Ada Traylor. He worked on the Peninsula as a construction contractor and retired to Pencil Bluff, Ark., where he and his wife worked as cattle ranchers and owned chicken houses.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Sonia Traylor; one son, David Traylor; three daughters, Sandra Carter, Teresa Wood and Donna Traylor; three sisters, Nell Cook, Merna Pierce and Minnie Whitehouse; six grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be later in the family plot at Macedonia Cemetery, Pencil Bluff, Ark.
