Disabled American Veterans Chapter 58 in Gloucester began a community food drive to assist the local food bank on Wednesday. The collection continue all month and finish on May 31, a release said.
A trailer has been set up in front of the DAV Chapter building at 6265 Professional Drive, Gloucester, just past Lowe’s.
Items requested are non-perishable food items such as canned meats, vegetables, fruits, soups, boxed rice, pasta, cereal, etc. The trailer will be checked daily to pick up and store any food items. Food items will be distributed to the Virginia Peninsula Food Bank.
