Arts on Main of Gloucester has rescheduled its 2020 Annual Juried Exhibition. Originally slated to open on March 6, it will now run from March 20 to April 24.
New deadlines for submissions are: Early entry deadline, midnight on Jan. 3, with an early entrance fee of $25 for three entries. Final deadline, midnight on Jan. 31, entry fee $35.
All entries will be judged by Carrie Spencer, Curator of Education and Contemporary Art Exhibitions at the Hermitage Museum and Gardens in Norfolk.
Spencer holds Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in Art Education and in Three Dimensional Media from Old Dominion University and an MFA in Ceramics from James Madison University. She has worked at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art and taught ceramics at Tidewater Community College.
The first-place winner of the exhibition will receive $1,000 and a solo exhibition at Arts on Main’s gallery. There are additional prizes for second and third places.
