Lt. Col. Lewis H. “Bucky” Burruss of Gloucester (U.S. Army-ret.) will be the guest speaker at Saturday’s Veterans Day meeting of the Augustine Warner Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
The meeting will be held at 2 p.m. at the Abingdon Episcopal Church parish house, White Marsh. The public is invited to attend.
The decorated military veteran and author has also been involved with Gloucester’s ongoing commemoration of the Battle of the Hook, a decisive prelude to the 1781 Siege of Yorktown that took place in lower Gloucester County.
