The Cricket Hill Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution held its monthly meeting on Nov. 17 at Kingston Parish, Mathews. Guest speaker Tom Robinson addressed “Russia’s Influence on America’s Past.” New members Gay Pfister and Susan Fauver were inducted into the chapter. In honor of Veterans Day, members brought items to be delivered to women at McGuire Veterans Administration Hospital in Richmond. DAR will be raffling a quilt to benefit its 2024 scholarship fund. Plans are underway the group’s centennial celebration. The chapter was confirmed by the National Board of the Daughters of the American Revolution on Jan. 30, 1924.
