Daffodil Show Committee gearing up for 2023 event

The Gloucester Daffodil Show Committee is gearing up for the 2023 annual Gloucester Daffodil Show, which coincides with the Gloucester Daffodil Festival. “This daffodil show first began in 1938 and has become a part of the fabric of our beautiful county’s heritage,” said co-chair Kristen Oney.
The 2023 ADS sanctioned daffodil show will be held on April 1 and 2 at Newington Baptist Church. The show workroom for exhibitors will open at noon on Friday, March 31. The show opens to the public at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 1. More information on entering the show or visiting the show can be found at www.daffodilfestivalva.org.
Several factors have contributed to the success and size of the Gloucester show. “We are lucky to have some of the best judges in the field,” Oney said. “The show this year will have 24 certified judges from six states and the District of Columbia.”
