It may just be early February, but daffodils are already blooming and this year’s Gloucester Daffodil Festival will be here before you know it.The annual rite of spring returns April 6-7 and plans are already underway for the celebration, with applications being accepted for Daffodil Festival Queen, Little Miss Daffodil and those applying for this year’s Daffodil Festival scholarships.
Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism has kicked off the application process. Little Miss Daffodil is open to ages 6-10 years and Daffodil Festival Queen is open to ages 16-19. All applicants must be Gloucester County residents. Daffodil Festival Queen may be eligible to receive a $1,000 scholarship, depending on the completion of her duties.
The application involves filling out the form, payment of $10 application fee and writing a paragraph (Little Miss) or an essay (Daffodil Queen). Applicants will participate in the Presentation Tea on Sunday, March 24 where they will be interviewed and photograph...
