The Gloucester Daffodil Club will hold a free hands-on workshop on Thursday, March 30, to help people hone their daffodil exhibitor skills just in time for this year’s show.
Topics to be covered include choosing and grooming the best blooms, filing out entry cards, interpreting the schedule, and placing exhibits on the show floor. Brent Heath, of Brent and Becky’s Bulbs, will lead the workshop and there will be Gloucester Daffodil Club members there to help as well.
The workshop will be held from 4-6 p.m. on March 30 at Brent and Becky’s Bulbs Chesapeake Lounge, 7900 Daffodil Lane, Gloucester. Bring daffodil blooms from your garden and club members can help identify them, plus help you fill out the entry cards and show you how to best “stage” your blooms. If you don’t have daffodils, there will be some at the workshop; but you can only exhibit daffodils that you’ve grown yourself.
