Sweet Tooth Parlor will hold its grand opening from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday, May 11. The new shop specializes in gourmet cupcakes.
Owner Crystal Burton said she will run her business from space that previously housed a bakery in the rear of the Morgan Building on Main Street in Gloucester. The grand opening will feature product discounts.
Burton works full-time in a state job and plans to open her shop only on Saturdays to start. She plans to sell an assortment of cupcakes, and beverages such as coffee, tea and root beer floats.
Customers are welcome to take out or stay and enjoy their treats at the store, Burton said. She also offers catering, taking large orders of cupcakes to wedding receptions and other special occasions.
Originally from Alaska, Burton was raised in Gloucester. She graduated from Middlesex High School and earned a bachelor’s degree at Christopher Newport University. She resides in Gloucester.
