Crockett receives President’s Award from Master Naturalists

Susan Crockett of Glouces-ter, received the President’s Award from the Middle Peninsula chapter of Virginia Master Naturalists during the chapter’s annual meeting in December.
Crockett earned the award by initiating and leading numerous projects for the benefit of the community, such as water quality monitoring with the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay, vernal pool sampling, North American Butterfly Society Butterfly Counts, and the Middle Peninsula Christmas Bird Counts. She also organizes and leads bimonthly bird watching outings with the Middle Peninsula Bird Club.
Crockett has also gotten a number of Master Naturalist volunteers involved with the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network, which reports daily precipitation around the world.
