Judy Ward’s “Crickets on a Hill,” a musical about the battle that drove Britain’s last royal governor of Virginia from the shores of Gwynn’s Island at the dawn of the Revolutionary War, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday at Mathews High School. The show is the kickoff event for Revolutionary Week in Mathews, which will include the annual fireworks on July 4 at MHS and a Revolutionary War encampment and reenactment on July 7 and 8 at the Gwynn’s Island Civic League.
