The 41st annual Crab Carnival will be held in downtown West Point on Friday and Saturday. One of Virginia’s most popular and longest-running fall festivals, the West Point Crab Carnival welcomes over 10,000 from all over the East Coast to enjoy the family-friendly atmosphere with live music, beverages, shopping, fireworks, parade and, of course, crabs.
Activities start at 5 p.m. Friday with the Tour de Crabs Kids bike race, followed by live music by Sweet Justice, as well as food from the food vendors, and fireworks.
On Saturday, activities kick off at 10 a.m. with the full vendor showcase, kid zone with bounce houses, face-painting and balloon animals, the parade at 1 p.m. and live music all day at the Town Hall parking lot.
The annual event is sponsored by the West Point Chamber of Commerce.
