Cpl. Aaron Tyler Davis Lynch, 25, passed away on Nov. 4, 2024 while serving in the 173rd Airborne Brigade at U.S. Army Garrison Bavaria in Grafenwoehr, Germany.
A lifelong resident of Gloucester and a Gloucester High School graduate, Aaron spent a couple of years in various jobs before joining the U.S. Army, where he served five years as an IT professional and paratrooper. He loved Germany and was immersed in the German culture.
Aaron enjoyed the outdoors, hiking in the mountains and fishing whenever and wherever he could. He was also an avid traveler, introduced to the wonders of other cultures by his parents. His first overseas trip was to Europe with his family, who had an exciting adventure in Cappadocia, Turkey, when a hot air balloon trip ended with strong winds and a rough landing. His favorite cities were Prague and Lisbon, but it was possible for his favorite to change with any new adventure. A couple of years ago, he and his brother Cameron went on a memorable trip across Europe.
Aaron’s dry sense of humor was spot-on, and his comic banter with his dad Scott and brother Cameron kept the family laughing. He was deeply loved by his family and longtime girlfriend Claudia Bösl of Wackersdorf, Germany.
Aaron is survived by parents, Dawn Lynch and Scott Ridolfi of Gloucester; brother, Cameron Ridolfi of St. Petersburg, Florida; grandparents, Carol Ridolfi and Anna Lynch, both of Gloucester and Michael Lynch of Grandy, North Carolina; aunts, Michele Tague (Rick) of Canadian Lakes, Michigan, Jessica Lynch (Dave) of Gloucester, and Amanda Ridolfi of Newport News; uncle, Anthony Ridolfi of Gloucester, and cousins Hunter, Brynndon, and Curran Tague, Emma Lynch, Peyton Humphrey, Rory Wilbur, and Cayden and BreeZ Holland. Additional family members are Jeremy Davis, Susan Holland, Robin Frailey, and John Davis, all of Tennessee.
Funeral services will be held in Grafenwoehr, Germany, at an as-yet-undetermined date. Burial will be private.
