All courts, county offices, and DMV customer service centers in Gloucester and Mathews will be closed from Friday through Monday in observance of the Christmas holiday.

Gloucester libraries will be closed Friday through Monday, as well. In addition, they have already begun a holiday schedule that includes closing at 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday this week and next week.

Mathews Memorial Library will close at 6 p.m. today and remain closed until Tuesday morning.

Schools and school board offices in Gloucester and Mathews are closed until Jan 2.

ABC stores in both counties will close at 6 p.m. Saturday and Monday in observance of the Christmas holiday.

Post offices and the EZ Pass office will be closed Monday only.

Convenience centers in Gloucester will close two hours early, at 5 p.m., on Christmas Eve and will reopen Monday for regular hours, while the Mathews Transfer Station will close at 1 p.m. on Christmas Eve and remain closed until Monday.
