Gloucester Clean Community is signing up volunteers to take part Saturday in the biannual Clean Gloucester Day.
Hours are 8 a.m.-noon. Volunteers pick up roadsides and public spaces such as schools and parks, which are recommended for younger volunteers. Any pick-up patroller under 18 years old must have adult supervision, the county said.
Groups can select a spot or be assigned a place.
The county will supply grabbers, bags and safety vests at the Stewart Building on Main Street, across from Botetourt Elementary, on Saturday, or these can be obtained with online registration beforehand.
A dumpster will be set up Saturday next to Gloucester Library in Main Street Center. Materials can be deposited there or at any of the county’s five convenience centers.
For more information or to register, call 804-693-5370 or visit the Clean Community page under glocuesterva.gov.
