Award-winning singer/songwriter Victoria Banks will perform in concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19 at Mathews High School auditorium.
Banks’s list of accolades as an artist is long, with her self-produced, self-penned records “When You Can Fly” and “Never Be the Same” making her 2009’s most nominated female artist in Canadian Country Music.
The following year, she earned the CCMA Female Artist of the Year award, her song “Dance with Me” won her the Songwriter of the Year Award, and she toured with superstars Reba McEntire, Wynonna Judd, Lonestar, Randy Travis and Johnny Reid.
But songwriting is her first love. Her catalogue of hits includes “Can’t Stop Loving You” by Sara Evans, “Come On Over” by Jessica Simpson, “Ordinary Angels” by Tate Stevens, and “I’m Gonna Make You Love Me” by Doc Walker.
