Converting an old Texaco station into a vacation rental

David Woessner of Mobjack has had some tough times lately, but he’s hanging his hat on an investment he made in Mathews County.

In 2019, Woessner was flipping houses under his business DAW Investments when he purchased the old Texaco gas station that has long sat vacant at the intersection of East River Road and Mobjack Road in Mobjack. Two other buildings on the small parcel of land, one of which was once the residence of the store’s long-ago owner, were included in the purchase, as well, and everything was financed by the owner.
