‘Conversations with Teachers’ video available online

A video recording of “Conversations with Teachers,” a feature of Mathews May Faire 2023, is now available in two online locations.
The conversations, part of May Faire which was sponsored by the Mathews Historical Museum, took place May 6 in the county’s historic courthouse.
Five teachers spoke on their experiences and memories in a two-hour forum. They included retired teachers Marcia Fry, Rebecca Brown and Nancy Katsuki, and current teachers Edith Turner, who retires this year, and Lindsey Dalton, who is completing her first year of teaching at Thomas Hunter Middle School. Moderating the discussion was Judy Rowe, also a retired teacher. Judi Green, senior executive associate in the county administrator’s office, recorded the session.
Interested people may find the discussion on the website of the Mathews Historical Museum, www.mathewsvamuseum.org; and under the Community-Historical Museum tab of the Mathews County website, mathewscountyva.gov. A gallery of May Faire 2023 photos is on...
