‘Continuum’ exhibit opens Sept. 4

“Continuum,” an exhibition of works by Gloucester artist Theresa Wells Stifel, will open at Arts on Main’s First Friday on Sept. 4 at the Gloucester Court House studio.
Live music will be provided by Waypoint Duo Rob and Martha Peirce, playing covers and some originals. The evening is sponsored by Wilma’s Wonders and is free, with complimentary beverages and snacks.
In order to provide a safe, physically distanced and sanitized environment, viewing will consist of three exclusive private showings, from 5-5:45 p.m., 6-6:45 p.m., and 7-7:45 p.m. Attendance is limited to 25 people each session, and reservations are required.
Stifel, whose originally-scheduled May show was cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions, is the first-place prize winner of the 2019 Arts on Main Juried Show. This new show features her unique, bold mixed media pieces that incorporate elements of ephemera—repurposed vintage printed or written items that originally served a different function.
