Constitution Week to be celebrated at Mathews Memorial Library

Mathews Memorial Library, with the help of the Cricket Hill Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, has arranged a special display in observance of Constitution Week, Sept. 16–23.  The exhibit features a framed copy of the Constitution, which the chapter donated to the library for display during the annual observation of this important American celebration.
On Tuesday, Sept. 17, other activities planned for the 232nd anniversary of the Constitution include a “Dash for Democracy” in which students and community members are invited to meet at the library at 4 p.m. and “tour the town” in a patriotic walk, followed by a “Birthday Bash” at the library. A special guest will attend the festivities and help cut the Constitution Cake.
Members of the community are invited to bring the whole family and celebrate the birth of our government.
