Gary Porter, founder and executive director of the Constitution Leadership Initiative, Inc., above, spoke on “Five Words or Phrases in Our Founding Documents You Should Understand” at the Abingdon Ruritan Club’s July 10 meeting, which was held at the club building in Bena. The Constitution Leadership Initiative is a non-partisan organization devoted to promoting a better understanding of the U.S. Constitution among the American people. He was introduced by Mary Lou Privott, the club’s programs chair.
