To the Patrons of the Battery School: Having been appointed a member of a committee to advise as to the desirability of consolidating the Mobjack, Bohannon, Cardinal, Foster and Battery school and being desirous of getting an expression of the public sentiment in order to fairly represent my neighborhood, I take it upon myself to call a mass meeting of the Battery school patrons to discuss this question on Wednesday, May 4, at 8 p.m. in the store of Curtis A. Brown at North and hope that all those interested, both ladies and gentlemen, will be present in order that I may be able to ascertain the will of the majority. —Percival Hicks
