A concert to benefit the Judy Ward Scholarship Fund will be held at 7 p.m. this Sunday, March 12, at Gwynn’s Island Baptist Church.
Award-winning Americana musician Kim Person will headline a lineup of local singers and musicians performing a variety of songs, both secular and non-secular.
Person’s original compositions have been described as “music written in the key of life.” An accomplished vocalist, finger style guitarist, and pianist, she has performed nationally and locally as a solo artist and with such artists as Pam Rose, Stephen Bennett, The Kingston Trio, and co-writer Lana Puckett. She also performed as part of the Judy Ward Trio.
Other performers include Michele Hudgins Thacker, Tyrone Hudgins, Heather MacKenzie, Autumn Jenkins, Hunter Owens, the Island Praise Gospel Group and John G. Drummond.
