Free dinner on Thanksgiving Day is being served at Abingdon Episcopal Church, Route 17, White Marsh.
“Everyone from in and around Gloucester is welcome and encouraged to attend this amazing community event,” said coordinator Pamela Reynolds.
“This is Thanksgiving in its truest sense of the word. If you are alone, or hungry, or would like to bring your family to share a meal with others, we are serving dinner on Thanksgiving Day.”
Abingdon Church has held the community dinner for more than 27 years. Diners may come at any time between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 23.
The church will provide a traditional Thanksgiving menu of turkey, gravy, and all the trimmings along with vegetables and dessert at this sit-down dinner. Take-out dinners are also available.
