Stand-up comic Lucas Bohn, a Mathews native who honed his comedy skills in New York City nightclubs, will be back in town on Friday, July 28, with his comedy special, “Lesson Plans to Late Night.”
Show time is 7 p.m., with a social hour beginning at 6 o’clock, at the Cobbs Creek Arts Center, 61 Cobbs Creek Lane, off Buckley Hall Road in Mathews.
The show is a fundraiser for the Court House Players, a community theater organization serving Gloucester, Mathews, Middlesex, and other localities.
Bohn said Lesson Plans to Late Night is one of his most popular shows. In it, he uses photos, storytelling and stand-up to talk about his transition from a teacher to a comedian. He includes his marriage, the adoption of his two children, and all the trials and tribulations that go along with the stresses of life, but always with a light hand and comic touch.
