Colonial Tea Ball to be held Nov. 8 in Yorktown

A Colonial Tea Ball will be held from 7-10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, at the American Revolution Museum, 200 Water Street, Yorktown.
The event is designed for ages 13 and older. Non-alcoholic beverages will be provided, and a cash bar and snacks will be available for purchase in the 1781 Café by Aromas. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Dances will be led by John Millar, dance master, author, and historian, with music performed by the Itinerant Band. There will be more than a dozen dances during the evening, including “Draper’s Garden” and “The Queen’s Jig.” The event will include a souvenir booklet with step-by-step dancing instructions.
Attendees are encouraged to dress in 18th-century clothing or dress up for the occasion. Between dances, guests can catch their breath and visit the museum’s immersive gallery exhibits, including tea-inspired artifacts on display.
Tickets are $25 per person and are available at jyfmuseums.org/colonial-tea-ball.
