The Colonial Dames of America has awarded a $4,000 grant to the Fairfield Foundation to support its 2024 summer internship program, including $1,500 for three $500 scholarships. Fairfield will award these scholarships to applicants who have the passion and drive but not the financial means to attend the program, the foundation said in a news release.
The summer internship program is one of the Fairfield Foundation’s most successful and long-standing educational outreach programs, the release said. High school juniors and seniors, undergraduate students, and others who wish to enhance resumes and expand horizons are welcome to apply. Interns work alongside staff to learn field and lab research methods, archival and material culture research, and other interests such as history, architecture, preservation, non-profit management, museum management, educational outreach and fundraising.
More information and internship applications are available on Fairfield’s website at fairfieldfoundation...
