CMG Urgent Care Center opened Sept. 12 on General Puller Highway, Hartfield. Previously, the facility housed a physician’s office.
Drs. Matthew J. Jaeger and Robin L. Ellett head the office. They are supported by Robert C. Duffer Jr., a certified physician assistant, and several nurses and clerical staff.
Jaeger said the new format provides both appointments and walk-in service, expanded early morning and early evening hours, and full Saturday service.
In addition, Jaeger said the facility recently added Botox treatment and some skin and other surgeries are done on-site. Some surgeries are referred to other specialists, he said, or are done in hospital operating rooms.
CMG, formally Chesapeake Medical Group, is part of the Rappahannock Health System. CMG was formed in 1994 to fill an increased need for medical practitioners in its service area, said Joanna Marchetti, marketing and public relations director for CMG, based at Rappahannock General Hospital in Kilmarnock.
