Cleanup at the cottage

Members of the fifth and seventh grade 4-H clubs of Lee-Jackson School in Mathews helped to clean up the grounds and hedge of “the Miller property,” now known as the Tompkins Cottage, in Mathews Court House, in May 1968. The Mathews County Historical Society had just taken on the aged house as a restoration project.
