Clayton Thomas Smith, age 76, Gloucester, died May 4, 2012 at Sentara Williamsburg RMC.
Mr. Smith was a veteran of the Korean War, worked as an electrician for many years and was a member of IBEW 1340, retiring from James City County Codes and Compliance as Electrical Inspector. His family was first and foremost, a close second would be fishing and listening to good bluegrass music.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe F. Smith; mother, Birdie S. Smith; brothers, Clemson Smith and Marion Smith, and step-children, Sheila Myers and Herbert W. Bell Jr. (Billy).
Survivors include his loving wife, Betty R. Smith; brothers, Clenton Smith, Clifton Smith and Willie Smith; daughters, Terri S. Sheilds and husband Matthew, Sharon S. Mulligan and husband Chuck; step-daughters, Laura McCoy, Patti Bell Riley and husband Alan, Dana Ceramuga and husband Doug; grandchildren, Sara, Katie, Abby, CJ, Jennifer, Adam, Tina, Cynthia, Jack, Herbie, Billie Jo, Alan Jr., Timothy, Josh and Sara, and 10 great-grandchildren.
