Classic Cruisers of York County raising money for charities for 30+ years

For more than 30 years, Classic Cruisers of York County has been putting on classic car shows and cruise-ins to raise money for charitable causes.
Founded in 1993 to support the Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters, Classic Cruisers has raised nearly three-quarters of a million dollars for the hospital over the years with its Fall Classic Car Show, held in October every year at Newport News Park. This year’s show raised $11,000, said club member Paul James of North.
Not content with just one large show a year, the group over time expanded its charitable giving to include two additional major shows annually, said James—a Memorial Day show held at Coastal Church in Yorktown to benefit Gathering of Mountain Eagles, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing retreat-style experiences for wounded military service members, and a Labor Day show to support Coastal Church, which hosts the group’s weekly cruise-ins in Yorktown.
