Clair K. “Pete” Bressler, 96, of Wicomico, died July 23, 2014 at Sanders Heron Cove Long Term Care.
He served proudly in the U.S. Navy, receiving the Victory World War II medal and Asiatic Pacific medal. Pete was a very proud member of the Seabees and was instrumental in the Seabees forming a band while in Saipan where they performed for many functions.
Pete retired from Western Electric as a supervisor after 38 years. He was a master woodworker, a trade he enjoyed with immense pleasure. He and his wife traveled and camped in every state except Hawaii. He was a man of great wit and wisdom acquired over a life well lived.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Margaret W. Bressler; sons, Bruce Bressler, Kenneth E. Bressler and wife Catherine, and Wayne E. Bressler and wife Kathleen; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
The Rev. Bud Goude officiated. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
