A number of citations for late-season speckled trout catches were reported in the Dec. 6 issue of vasaltwaterjournal.com.
Citation winners included Bradley Barrs of Hayes, for a 7-pound, 15-ounce trout caught Nov. 24 in Chesapeake Bay;
Robert F. Flippin of Gloucester, of a 5-8 trout caught Nov. 22 in James River;
Gerald L. Morgan Jr. of New Point, 24.5-inch trout caught and released Nov. 22 in Piankatank River;
John Scott Finney of Gloucester, 8-6 trout caught Nov. 19 at Ware Point;
Billy Flippin of Bena, 5-3 trout caught Nov. 13 in James River; and,
William Y. Moore of Gloucester, 5-3 trout caught Nov. 5 in Piankatank River.
Also, Randy Orga of Hayes, qualified for a citation for a 4-pound gray triggerfish caught Nov. 6 at Triangle Wrecks.
