Cierra DeHart of Cobbs Creek, is realizing her dream as a dog groomer by opening “CiCi’s Dog Salon” in Saluda, located at 126 General Puller Highway, Suite E. Her grand opening will be held from 2-5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5, where people are invited to come visit the salon with their dogs and enjoy refreshments.
“I’ve been doing this for seven years,” she said.
After receiving her grooming certificate, DeHart groomed at the Gloucester Petco for five years and spent another two working at Blue Collar Dog Services in Hayes. She is currently working at Grafton Animal Hospital in Yorktown, with her last day scheduled for Friday.
DeHart said her loyal clients have been pushing for her to open her own salon. She decided do just that in Saluda after noticing a need for dog grooming services in the Middlesex area.
