Christmas services start today

Churches in Gloucester and Mathews will host Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services beginning today.
Christmas Eve
Kingston Episcopal Parish, Mathews, will have a Christmas Eve service and concert with a virtual choir, string trio, organ and piano through its Facebook page and YouTube channel after 4 p.m. this afternoon.
Kingston will also hold two outdoor services today. The first will begin at 5 p.m. at Kingston Parish House on Main Street and will be a simple Rite II service with Blessing of the Creche and a bonfire. The second service will begin at 8 p.m. and will be a simple Rite I service at Christ Church on Williams Wharf Road.
Central United Methodist Church, Mathews, will hold two Christmas Eve Communion Services tonight at 5 and 7 o’clock.
Gwynn’s Island Baptist Church will have its drive-in Christmas Eve candlelight service tonight at 5 o’clock. The service will be held at the gazebo across from the church at the Gwynn’s Island Civic Center. Attendees can tune their radios...
