Christmas programs, Santa and more this weekend

Organizations in Gloucester, Mathews and beyond are gearing up for a busy and festive weekend.

The Mathews Historical Museum, located at 200 Main Street, will have a corned beef stew lunch and sale Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on both days. Pre-order soup on the museum’s website www.mathewsvahistoricalmuseum.org. Pre-orders are requested. There are a minimum amount of quarts available on-site as supplies last.
Mathews Farmers’ Market will have its Christmas Market on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on the Historic Courthouse Green on Court Street.
The Bay School Community Arts Center, Mathews, will host its Holiday Artisan Market on Saturday.
The Tompkins Cottage Museum, Mathews, will have a safely-distanced Christmas Open House from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday.
