Christmas Eve Row

Dedicated current and past Mobjack Rowing members encountered a brisk 29-degree morning for the 30th annual Christmas Eve Row at Williams Wharf. The temperature was offset somewhat with calm flat conditions. Launching two doubles and a quad, the group rowed up to their starting line and raced back to the finish at Williams Wharf. Mobjack Rowing president Tim Ulsaker summed up the milestone row commenting, “I have seen many different conditions throughout the 30 rows I have run here and this one was good in spite of the temperature. Since my wife, Mimi, passed away this year I am looking forward to coaching again and working with our current youth.” Ulsaker has returned to coaching Mobjack Rowing and Mathews High School crew after then coach Jon Lothian moved to Richmond to take another job.
