The 2023 Mathews Ruritan Club Christmas Blessing Fund is more than two-thirds of its way to its goal of $20,000, honorary chairperson Amy Ashberry announced. Donations of $15,031 have been received thus far.
Because of delays at the postal service, some of the request letters were delivered late, a release noted. “However, there is still plenty of time to make your generous and much needed donation,” the release stated. Funds will not be distributed until mid-February.
