Christiane J. Van, 78, of Gloucester, Va., a native of Nice, France, died March 8, 2014.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Van.

Christiane is survived by three daughters, Martine Chave (Bernard) of France, Annick Ensley (Art) of King & Queen, Sandra Auger (Chris) of San Diego, Cal.; a step-son, Carlos Van of La Porte, Texas; a sister, Louise Blakeman of Virginia Beach; a brother, Robert Charlier of France; eight grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 13 at Church of St. Therese Church, 6262 Main Street, Gloucester, Va. 23061. After the cremation, her cremains will be taken to France for burial with her family.
