Congregations from across Gloucester County came together on Thursday, Jan. 23, for an ecumenical worship service in observance of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity hosted by The Church of St. Therese. All of the participating congregations are members of the Jubilee Churches of Gloucester, which is a coalition of 17 congregations that work together to help prevent homelessness. The Rev. Ed Walker, pastor of Bellamy United Methodist Church and convener of the Jubilee Churches below, gave the sermon. A combined choir from the different churches, under the direction of Beverly Sabourin, St. Therese’s Coordinator of Music Ministry, performed an anthem during the service. A reception was held after the service.
